Spring break was a good time for many including myself in that I could finally get some stress off of my shoulders. Not only that but I began to start working at Stewart's restaurant as a dishwasher. It felt nice to finally do something productive with my time. I also decided to help out my mother on Easter day because she needed it. Unfortunately she was sick and it was up to us siblings to help her out and carry out through dinner. We always try to make it easier on our mother because she is always trying to do things she shouldn't when she is sick or healing. I fathom helping anyone out without some type or reward or pay because it honestly makes me feel like a better person.
Just looking at a couple of Zig Ziglar's quotes I began to realize that I take many things for granted. Although, I try to change that, this quote also reminded me of how everyday is precious. We should not take our time for granted because it is very valuable and is important that it is spent wisely. It also means to me that you should not focus on the faults or mistakes of the day before just move on and work hard to do your best. I feel like if you stay in your past you will end up degrading yourself so it is important that we all move on and focus on getting into the future. Just remember that yesterday was only a day but today is the day you start something new.
"The Secret of getting ahead is getting started." ~Mark TwainI really like this quote for the reason that it makes a lot of sense to me. After reading this quote I have realized that you really can't go anywhere if you never start. Without effort you are basically standing still in progression of your life. I know that when something new happens or if something happens that I am not happy with I just keep on moving and overcome basically anything that gets in my way. I take the extra step just to get ahead of others and prepare myself for my future. To be rightfully honest it is no secret to some that getting started is the way to move on because some of us are very passionate on making progress and improving our skills that this is just a everyday routine. I believe at one point of time in my life I had thought that what I wanted to do as a career was not possible due to the grades I had gotten in my freshman and sophomore year of high school. I then woke up and basically told myself "Nothing is impossible if you try hard enough." I keep that as a reminder when ever that thought decides to pop in my head and it really helps me out even in the hardest times of my life. So just having a clue and taking the initiative can really help you get ahead in your personal life.
