I am looking forward to the many experiences that come from the senior year in high school. And gee is it crazy to think that I am already a senior and that we will be the upperclassman finally. I want to improve my learning of science by a grand scale which is part of the reason why I chose to take complex science classes that will push me to the highest level of expectations and thinking output. I want this so I can take my skills and use them or even pass them down to make the learning process an easier and more dominant part of my life. I also will look forward to being able to be the highest class in the school so we can be the ones who make certain decisions or the ones who show our leadership skills to the classes before us. Most of everything will be different next year because everything from this point on only gets more complex. I like that because if you make some things harder for yourself it can sometimes be a wake-up call or it can open your eyes to your weaknesses and strengths. I will most definitely know where to go right away compared to freshman year, I can relate to more teachers than I could my first year of high school. That is one thing I will never let go because being close to some teachers can be very beneficial.

For Memorial Day weekend my family and I basically just stayed home and bonded with each other as a form of entertainment. We aren’t really the family to do anything extraordinary because we have each other and that is enough for us. I spent most of my time working and getting some hours in to make my paycheck a little better than most weeks. For the period of summer I hope to be relaxing and doing what I love; researching and helping people build new computers. Work will also be a big factor of my summer as I would like to save up my money for future use. The big plans that I know of this summer are most likely our family’s June BBQ and then a couple of camping trips. I plan on retaking my ACT test sometime not sure if that is something that can be done during the duration of summer but only time can tell. My job really doesn’t relate to my career path but it does implement god work ethic and logical thinking which can be used to obtain a career or another job in the future.
Amazon is a website we all love for it's online shopping opportunities. What I like other than Amazon's online shopping is amazon's stock and it was a very excellent stock to invest in. When I had started investing in AMZN back in March 25th the price per share was $374 up until now June 5th the price per share was $429.56. I have invested a total of $3,233.75 granting me 7.9710 shares in total. Computer Sciences Corporation is a company I know very little about but they relate to technology and computers so I thought I might invest in something up my alley. When I had started investing in CSC back in March 25th the price of the stock was $65.14 up until now June 5th the price of stock was $67.52. Not a whole lot of changes there compared to the Amazon stock. I have invested a total of $1,718.25 granting me 25.9615 shares in total. 2 for 1 Article - "To Judge or Not To Judge?" (Article 9) This article is all about how we judge people we see and talk to in our daily basis. The main purpose of the article is to learn some insights on how and how not to make critical judgments regarding the important people in your life. There are really only two purposes of making judgments about people who come and stay, or come and leave your life and that to benefit their life as well as you own. The dictionary has two forms of the word judgment, one having a positive meaning and the other negative. Judgmental being the negative version meaning too willing to criticize others actions and behavior saying that they are wrong. Whereas, judgment says an opinion or estimate formed after consideration or deliberation. Judgment is a deep thought that has the thought of feelings implemented inside of it. Then we have judgmental which is just a quick uncaring and unhelpful criticism. The article brings up the good point of judging people over time. Some of us are really unpredictable when it comes to our outside appearance compared to our personality. The article also says to judge the action not the personality for the same reason as ‘judging a book by its cover’. Another good point is to recognize your limited perspective meaning basically to make sure you have your facts straight before you go ahead and make conclusions about people. Last but not least we need to be thoughtful in communicating because through communication we send powerful messages to each other and we need to make sure we say what we really mean to say before we go ahead and say something we didn’t mean. Therefore, judging is something that should be heavily analyzed. I loved this article because so much today especially with today’s generation you see al lot of judging. I feel that everyone should really stop and think and ask themselves “Should I really say this?” In the long run we should all appreciate each other and try to keep the judgmental levels on the down low before we start going to war with each other figuratively speaking. Yeah sure someone may not look like someone you can get along with but that is only one piece to the puzzle. There is a personality behind all faces and it can relate to you immensely. With the knowledge of this article I can now use these points and try to convince people to stop what they are doing and be conscious of others and their feelings. This can aklso create many friendships and get rid of the making fun of people scene. It will not be easy to help people understand as some of us are ignorant but it is definitely worth the try because it is something at least I would like to see. Q: What did you get out of the Personality Plus Profile Exercise? A: The personality plus exercise really helped me open up and figure out who I really am and how I operate compared to others. I feel like now knowing some more of my personal traits I can maybe relate with a few more people that maybe I didn't know I could relate to. It also helped me realize that I cannot get along with these certain people because we simply are not alike and we have dissimilar interests. Q: What did you learn about yourself - strengths? weaknesses? A: I learned mostly about some of the things I can improve on to become a better person. I have realized some of my weaknesses and strengths but I have never really been able to define them as well as I could after completing this activity, As far as strengths go I think that they are far more easier to figure out than weaknesses because they are basically was flow the easiest with your personality. Q: What were you top 2 personality types from the test that you did? A: My top two personality types after the test were both Phlegmatic and a tie between Choleric and Melancholy. I think that I would fit more as a melancholy rather than Choleric. Q: What are your plans with this new info for you? and for how you deal with others? A: With this information I think that I can move on without getting ticked off at certain things people do because I now realize that some people operate a lot differently than I do. I feel that I'm going improve my weaknesses and hold on to my strengths and try to focus on relating with the people that I can rather than those in which I cannot.
I think this article was very important for readers to understand because it takes the perspective of a celebrity or a person who is well known and connecting it with the responsibilities that normal people have as well. One point I enjoyed reading was that Robert Downey Jr. had really corrected his mistakes and realized his responsibilities and changed his life to become a superstar in today's world. I think that is was important for not only him to change but also it effected the people around him in a positive way. It is always an important thing to pay attention to responsibilities and fix your mistakes because I believe at least that there is no such thing as being too early. I also thought it was important that they added this in the article: " We tend to think responsibility as something given to us by someone who is in a position of authority...". I thought this was important because it is very true and some of us need to realize that all of our lives are not guided throughout the course of our time. We need to take initiative at some point and take care of our own problems and make sure we are the best we can be without someone there to guide us.
This article focuses on some questions that people who make a difference in their daily lives ask themselves. Nearly all of the questions I feel I can relate to as a high school student. Now if I had to ask myself any of these questions I think I would ask myself all of them to keep myself in line. Therefore, starting with what time did you wake up? I will focus on answering these questions to the best of my ability.
Given at least 20 quotes it was definitely hard to choose 2 quotes because they all made a ton of sense to me. The first quote I chose was "It doesn't matter where you are coming from. All that matters is where you are going". I chose this quote because no matter where you start out or where you are currently at in your life you can do something and go somewhere and make some sort of route to the next step in your life. It is very important that everyone knows that they can make a difference no matter where they started out. For the second quote I chose "People with clear, written goals, accomplish far more in a shorter period of time than people without them could ever imagine". This quote was chosen because it sends a powerful message. A message in which many should pay attention to because it can help them accomplish what they want in a shorter period of time. Just like how I made a goal for myself to build my own computer from scratch in which I am pretty close to finishing.
As always when I read quotes similar to these, I always imagine that there has to be some sort of intelligence behind the meaning of the quotes themselves. In that Jim Rohn happens to be the source of that intelligence in the 10 quotes I have viewed from him. In which the ones that stand out to me the most are: "If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary." and "Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment". The meaning behind my liking of the first one is that it makes a lot of sense to me because this basically explains how I view my goals. If I don't try something that is different I basically make no progress. It also creates this aspect that without hard work you will stick with what you have and like it. Discipline is a very important thing for humans to grasp and understand to use it to their advantage. Using it to help us achieve what we want in a reasonable matter is one of it's main purposes. Without discipline we would be living in a very selfish world. Jim Rohn is one of the people I have to add to my list of inspirational people in that with the small amount of quotes and research about him he made me think about what I can do to improve myself and move on in my life.
