An amazing guitarist under the name of Jimi Hendrix once said "Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music." When I first heard music of my liking I thought nothing of it, but it changed me as a person. I felt like I had taken the next step into my life and started to wake up and realize my responsibilities as a human being. With these responsibilities I gave myself goals to improve my overall outcome as a person. Therefore, when given instructions to create a website on three of my bucket list goals I could not deny. Music being one of the most important aspects of my life helped me choose my goals. I made sure that my goals made some sort of progression for my life in which I chose to see more of my favorite bands in concert, to meet some of my 'idols' from my favorite bands, and the achievable short term goal to learn more about playing my bass guitar. I want to spread the message to the viewers of my website that music can help you move forward and make progression in their lives no matter the circumstances.

I really liked site 175 because their overall organization is just amazing. I really like how they designed their Project pages and the slideshows that they have are just awesome. I chose that aspect to the website because it is something that is unique to me as far as coding and design goes. It impresses me that they were able to put together such a masterpiece. I also like how they were able to change one word in their title and cycle it to just do an endless loop.
I think that the Hind font will capture the feel of my website. I think this because it is a very well put together font and it is very organized. Putting together a website requires the individual to be both creative and organized and this font does just that.
CSS Lesson 1
CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. It is different than HTML in that HTML was made for layout purposes for web pages whereas CSS was made for styling web pages.
<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <style> p{ ß-------SELECTOR color: green; ß----------- PROPERTY (1ST) AND VALUE (2ND) text-align: center; ß------- PROPERTY (1ST) AND VALUE (2ND) font-size:24px; ß--------- PROPERTY (1ST) AND VALUE (2ND) } </style> </head> <body> <p> Hello and Welcome! My name is Brandon Martin.</p> <p> I am using CSS to make this!</p> </body> </html>
Class Selector:

Here's the link just in case. Summary
In A.J. Juliani’s article ‘Why 20% time is good for schools” he focuses on the topic of genius/20% time and how students should take advantage of it to do something they would rather do. Not only do students adopt this policy but also people who work at big companies such as Google. With 20% time people are able to step away from they are currently working on and they have a chance to create or do something magnificent. With 20% time A.J. believes students can also solve some of society’s biggest problems because they can actually devote time to something they love and are passionate about. Parents and teachers are also realizing how great of a concept 20% time is and how it can be used to make their kids/students more successful. Editorial I think that 20% time is a very good aspect that is added to students learning process. I wish this was a thing when I was in my earlier years of school because I could actually do or learn more about something I wanted to. With that I could be ahead of myself today and learn more advanced topics. This is definitely a good idea because students can learn more versatile topics and advance in their knowledge. It can also be a bad idea because it can divert the attention from what is initially going to be learned. I also feel like genius time can also help students figure out what they want to do, what they want to professionalize in when they grow older. My Goals 1. Learn more on the bass guitar (Achievable Goal). I would like to learn more on my bass because it is a really cool instrument and I love playing it. Making and recreating music is pretty cool. 2. Meet some of my 'Idles' from my favorite bands. 3. See more of my favorite bands in concert. Keywords Innovate - make changes in something established, especially by introducing new methods, ideas, or products. Reinvigorate – give new energy or strength to. |
